Rector of the Universidad Autónoma Comunal de Oaxaca (UACO) [Autonomous Communal University of Oaxaca], proposal that arises from the exercise and recognition of pedagogies based on the worldviews of the indigenous peoples of Oaxaca, recognized by decree law. Before being the rector, h was previously the academic coordinator of the institution. From 2008 to 2019 he was an Ayuujk teacher and researcher. Founder and member of the academic council of the Universidad Comunal del Cempoaltépetl [Communal University of Cempoaltépetl], a project that emanates as a proposal and demand of the community of Santa María Tlahuitoltepec, Mixe Oaxaca. Member of the Latin American network of decolonial methodologies of Abya Yala and the Caribbean. He is the creator of the jotmay jawëën research methodology, based on the Ayuujk cosmogony. He has published the book: jujkyä´tën: Sabiduria y Conocimiento desde la cosmovisión ayuujk; caso de la universidad Comunal intercultural del cempoaltepetl [Jujkyä´tën: Wisdom and Knowledge from the Ayuujk worldview; case of the Cempoaltepetl Intercultural Communal University]. He has also collaborated in the the book on Wejën – Kajën: Las dimensiones del pensamiento y generación del conocimiento comunal [Wejën – Kajën: The dimensions of thought and generation of communal knowledge]. Wejën Kajën systematizer of communal knowledge of the Ayuujk people: theoretical proposal for the formation of an Ayuujk commoner. He was co-founder of the community radio Jënpoj (Winds of Fire), 107.9 FM with a trajectory of 20 years. He is a political advisor to the indigenous organization CINPA- MI – Asamblea de pueblos [Assembly of Peoples].
