Raimundo M. Benjamim, also known as Ray Baniwa, is an Indigenous person from the Baniwa people. He resides in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, in the Upper Rio Negro region of northwest Amazonas State, Brazil. He holds a degree in Marketing Technology and is currently a master’s student in Communication and Culture at UFRJ. He is a communicator and co-founder of the Indigenous Communicators Network of Rio Negro (Rede Wayuri) and is part of the team at the Instituto da Hora (IDH), where he conducts research on Internet Governance and Diversity in the Amazon and Rio Negro regions.
