Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in the School of Communication (FAC) and the Graduate Program in Governance and Innovation in Public Policies (PPGIPP) at the University of Brasília (UnB). She is the founder and researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD), as well as at the Research Group on Government, Administration, and Public Policies (GIGAPP). She leads the research group on State, Regulation, Internet, and Society (GERIS) and is a member of the Deliberative Board of the Open Knowledge Foundation Brazil. She holds a postdoctoral degree in Public Policy and Digital Governance from the GovLab, New York University (2018). Christiana has a PhD in Sociology of Science and Technology from the University of Brasília and the Open University, England (2003). Her expertise includes Public Sector Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Public Policies, Democratic Innovations, Digital Democracy, Digital Rights, Digital Governance, Internet Regulation, Sociology of Science and Technology, Communication, and Public Administration.
