Susui, Ariene

From the Wapichana people, is an Indigenous activist who has been engaged in the Indigenous movement since the age of 14, advocating for the participation of youth and women in political, environmental, and educational discussions. She is a co-founder of the Indigenous Communicators Network of Roraima (Wakywaa), holds a degree in Social CommunicationJournalism, and a master’s degree in Communication from UFRR. She has worked as a communications advisor for the Indigenous Council of Roraima and in communications at the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB). Currently, she works as an independent journalist focusing on the Amazon, covering environmental and Indigenous issues.
