Andreza Jorge is a Ph.D. candidate in Cultural Studies at ASPECT at Virginia Tech and in Performing Arts at PPGAC at UFRJ. She holds a master’s degree in Ethnic-Racial Relations from PPRER at CEFET/RJ and a teaching degree in Dance from UFRJ. She is the author of the book Feminismos Favelados (Favela Feminisms), an activist on social issues intersecting gender, race, and territory. She is the co-founder of the Mulheres Ao Vento (MAV) Project, the Maré de Dentro Artistic Collective, and serves as a Political Advocacy Analyst at Redes da Maré.
