CryptoRave is an annual event that brings together, over a 24-hour period, a wide range of activities focused on security, cryptography, hacking, anonymity, privacy, and freedom on the internet. Inspired by a global, decentralized initiative to disseminate and democratize knowledge and basic concepts of cryptography and free software, the event began in 2014 as a reaction to the disclosure of information that confirmed actions by governments and corporations to keep the world’s population under constant surveillance and monitoring.
