Biologist with a Master’s in Ecology from the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA) and currently a PhD candidate at Virginia Tech University. Specializes in topics such as flood ecology, fish and fisheries ecology. Investigates the effects of climate change on fishing and livelihoods in Amazonia, as well as the perceptions of climate change among indigenous communities. Member of the Puxirum do Bem Viver, a movement fighting against the climate crisis within urban indigenous communities, focusing on building community gardens and
preserving traditional land use and technologies.
